This policy explains what personal information Magnesium Supply collects when you use magnesiumsupply.co.uk, why we collect it and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Magnesium Supply is a UK online retailer operating magnesiumsupply.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@magnesiumsupply.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, delivery address and order details. When you contact us we collect your name, email address, any order reference you give us and the content of your message. We also receive limited technical information from your browser, such as your device type, when you visit the site.
Payment information
We do not collect or store your full card details. Card payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider, which handles your card information directly under its own privacy policy. We receive only a confirmation of payment, the amount, the last four digits and card type where provided, and the billing and delivery details needed to fulfil your order.
How we use your information
We use your information to take and process your order, to take payment, to deliver your order, to send order confirmations and delivery updates, to handle returns and refunds, to answer your enquiries, and to keep records we are legally required to keep, such as records for tax purposes.
Legal bases
We process order and delivery information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you. We process enquiry information on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to customers. We keep transaction records to comply with our legal obligations. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers needed to run the shop: Stripe for payment processing, our hosting and database provider for storing order records, our email provider for order confirmations, and the delivery carrier used to send your order. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for six years, as required for UK tax and accounting purposes. Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Cookies and analytics
We use only storage that is necessary for the site and checkout to work, including your basket saved in your browser and strictly necessary cookies set by Stripe. See our Cookie Policy for details. We do not run third-party advertising or profiling trackers.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask for erasure where we no longer need it, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK data protection regulator.
